My priorities and commitment to the people of District 1 is simple: Improve emergency services, maintain
our roads and drainage systems, and expand access to reliable broadband. These
investments will strengthen public safety, protect property, support economic growth, and
improve the quality of life for all Dorchester County residents.

Establish a County-Staffed EMS Medic Unit in the South End of Dorchester County:
For far too long, the need for a dedicated county-staffed medic unit in the south end of
Dorchester County has been kicked down the road. As someone who has served in the fire
service and worked on medic units myself, I understand how critical response times are during
medical emergencies. Every minute matters when someone’s life is on the line. All Dorchester
County residents deserve fair and timely emergency medical response, regardless of where they
live. I will work to establish a county-staffed medic unit in the southern part of the county,
strategically located near the Maryland Route 336/335 corridor, Golden Hill Road, or Hoopers
Island Road, to improve emergency coverage, reduce response times, and save lives.

Make Road Maintenance and Ditch Cleaning a Priority:
Properly maintained roads and drainage systems are essential to public safety and protecting
property. I will work to ensure county roads are properly maintained and make cleaning out
county ditches a priority. Too many drainage ditches have been neglected, leading to standing
water, flooding, road damage, and impacts on private land. Regular ditch maintenance will help
improve drainage, reduce standing water that contributes to land sinking and erosion, protect
infrastructure, and reduce flooding throughout our communities.

Expand Broadband and Modern Communications Infrastructure:
Reliable high-speed internet is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity. I will support efforts to
expand broadband access throughout District 1 and Dorchester County so that residents,
students, businesses, and emergency services have the connectivity they need to succeed.
