Failing infrastructure: Repair roads and improve drainage by digging out county managed/owned ditches
Equal access to county EMS services: Add a station so that South Dorchester county has adequate EMS coverage
Increased taxation and county fees: Increased property taxes – New regulations that increase statute infraction fine limitations by 400% – County Government regulations that violate private property rights – these and many other tax and fees concerns can and should be stopped!
Loss of public water way accesses: The entire Waterman Community are being negatively impacted by the County Government turning over management, or altogether abandoning, public boat ramps. Access to public water ways is a component of the main source of employment and industry in the area. Crabbing and Fishing are under attack by regulators in Annapolis. County Government can be a stop-gap for the people of Dorchester Count.
Affordable housing and homelessness: This issue is national – and there is not a easy fix. But County Government can make it their mission to enable affordable housing for their constituents, by eliminating hurtles to having a roof over your head. Current County ordinances are not helping!
